uMgungundlovu Municipality - Micro Hydro Plant: April 2010, EnviroMinds has been commissioned by the uMgungundlovu Municipality (Pietermaritzburg) to investigate the feasibility of a run-of-river micro hydro plant on the uMkhomazi River in KwaZulu Natal, South Africa.

| USA Visit: October 2009, Chris visited several extremely interesting sustainable sites in the USA in order to learn and share his experiences. Places visited include The City of Livingstone's Water Treatment and Biogas Plant (Montana), The Real Goods Sustainable Living Centre in Hopeland (California), The California Acaedemy of Sciences in San Franciso (California), Arcosanti (Arizona) as well as many other less prominent examples of sustainable living, including several grid connected PV power plants, wind turbine plants and energy efficient buildings (many LEED accredited). Chris says the trip was extremly inspiring and can't wait to use some of the ideas on projects back home in SA. |

February 2009, EnviroMinds has been appointed as the energy consultants to develop a set of residential and commercial energy efficiency popular documents.*LATEST
NEWS: these documents have been completed and should soon be available as electronic downloads from the Imagine Durban & Energy Office websites. The documents contain actual case studies of businesses, homes, schools etc that have successfully saved energy, water and greenhouse gas emissions. In adition, there are many tips and worked examples which will be extremely useful for others looking to save energy and operate more sustainably. |

June 2008, EnviroMinds has completed baseline energy audits of CCA's eight lodges in Tanzania. Each lodge now has an energy consumption baseline from which they can improve. *LATEST NEWS: CCA has started to implement some of the changes recommended and have reduced their reliance on fossil fuels, improving the overall performance of their lodges. |
